New Pool at the Hacienda del Sol Resort

Cimarron Circle completed building the new pool, spa and deck at the Hacienda del Sol Resort, in the Catalina Foothills.

For decades Hacienda del Sol has been ranking among the top three resorts of Tucson. Built in 1929 in the typical Southwestern hacienda style, the hotel has incredible charm and style. It has earned excellent ratings for its service and accommodations with a 4.8 overall rating in Google, a 4.5 rating in Trip Advisor and a 4.6 rating in Facebook. Hacienda del Sol is a top destination resort that, on its own power, brings many visitors to our city.

It was only fitting that Cimarron Circle would be the pool builder of choice for this fine resort. When the owners of Hacienda del Sol decided to relook some sections of the resort, our company was picked from a shortlist of high-end pool contractors because of our history of building well-engineered pools with a stunning design. We designed and built the new pool and spa from the ground up. The deck area was built by another general contractor.

The pool area is set in the back of the resort, for complete guest privacy. It overlooks the majectic view of the Catalina Foothills and a prime golf course. On the NW side, the view extends far away, towards Marana and the westside mountains of the valley. Notice in the pictures how the small wall on the deep-end side of the pool opens up on a glass bannister to preserve a gorgeous view for the guests when they are in the pool.

With a maximum depth of 5 feet on the deep-end, the pool was created for both relaxed swimming and social gatherings. The spa was purposedly positioned on the shallow end of the pool, next to the flight of stairs. This was to ensure an easy in-and-out access from deck and the bar. We designed the staircase and spa with gracious curves to relax the eye and serve as a reminder of the design of the golf course below.

The deck itself is large enough to accommodate private parties, and Hacienda del Sol furnished it with beautiful lounge chairs. It’s a great vantage point to soak in some sun.

The mosaic work uses multiple shades of blue, playing with the color of the skies and the Southwestern theme of the resort.

The whole project was completed within budget and deadline.
