The Pool Builder’s Blog
Our pool builder blog is meant to give our visitors an overview of the quality and creativity of our pool design work, as well as practical information about pool maintenance, landscaping maintanence, and the helpful tips for pool owners. Scroll down this page to discover our blog posts.
Over the last 40 years of building pools in the Tucson AZ area, you can understand that we have been met by many, many different challenges: dry weather and high temperatures, land configuration, hard or muddy soil, natural catastrophes, technological advances, changes in pool building materials and pool construction processes, etc. That we are still “alive and kicking” despite 4 deep economic recessions is a testament to the prudence of our management and the durability of our pools. This is something you can count on: after 40 years of continuous business, you can easily see for yourself that we are not a fly-by-night operation.
This is essential for the safety of your investment. Whether you dip into your savings or take a loan to install a backyard pool in your backyard, you are making a major commitment that you will have to support for years to come. A swimming pool brings value to your home but it also costs a significant amount of money and its upkeep takes time. It is therefore very important for you to make the right choice when selecting your pool contractor. Are they local pool builders or from out-of-town? How long have they been in the market? What kind of swimming pools have they built? How many swimming pools have they built? Can you visit pool company offices and discuss your swimming pool questions with their staff? Do they have swimming pool design awards? Can they bring you to some of their customers’ homes so that you look at their work?
Our blog is just a first tool of communication with our work. Please take the time necessary to look at what we built and what we advise, and then call Rob Staples at (520) 881-2777 to make an appointment. We can receive you in our office (we own our own building at 4325 E Grant Rd) or visit you at your residence if it is more practical and you want us to look at your backyard. Our first discussions will focus on understanding your purpose for owning a pool, how you intend to use it and what challenges you face.
Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest in our company. We won’t waste your time.

In Business Since 1978… and still A+ with the BBB | Nov 16, 2017
Cimarron Circle has been building pools for Tucson families since 1978, some 40 years ago (at the date of writing). In 4 decades of being in business, we have maintained an outstanding service record with our clients, as attested by the A+ rating that the BBB has awarded us continuously since 2004. This is a testament to the quality of our process, our planning and our people. Few pool builders in Tucson can pride themselves of having maintained an A+ rating for some many years. Even fewer can build any type of pool super, from the regular kidney-shape family pool to super-sophisticated rooftop pools. Cimarron Circle can do it all.

What are “Spools”? The hybrid solution for small backyards | Oct 13, 2015
A spool is a cross between a spa and a pool. It is actually a small pool with benches and jets like a spa. The primary advantage of a spool is that it doesn’t take up much room. This is good for smaller yards. Another advantage is that it does not take long to heat up, therefore the cost to heat and the wait for it to heat are much lower and shorter than with a pool….
